But, there are also benefits that only come with certain cards. These differences are what helps the consumer choose the best credit card for them.

No matter what your reason is for wanting a credit card, there are many benefits to choose from. Most cards will not have all the benefits that you desire. It is best to have multiple cards to allow the user to fully take advantage of the benefits of each card. For instance, using your gasoline rewards card at the gas station might get you double points.

Some major companies like Sam’s Club only accept Master Card and Discover, so if you only have a Visa card you are out of luck, while others might only accept Mastercard and Visa. Also in some foreign countries Visa is widely accepted while Master Card is not and in other countries it is the exact opposite. So having several to choose from will help avoid being stuck without the right card. Of course, no matter how many cards you have it is best to not run a credit balance and pay your entire bill every month.
