Commerce is Going Mobile…Are You Following?
As the Computer Generation graduates from school and enters the workforce, commerce around the world is unabashedly heading towards the electronic and mobile platforms. They are embracing things like mobile payment systems, mobile commerce apps, and mobile application development is a hot topic on the internet these days.
Marketing experts agree: Any business that has not established themselves as an online presence will most certainly lose market share, if not their entire business, if they do not come to terms with the new way of doing commerce in the coming decade.
In response to these commercial technological updates, finance is being handled in a new way as well. People are much more likely to perform day-to-day business in an automated way using cashless methods of payment. These customers actually resent being asked for cash in the traditional way much preferring credit card transactions, or even paying via an iPhone app or PayPal. Making cash payments a trend that is going the way of the telemarketer and the door-to-door salesman.
This new generation of Digital Natives believes that:
1. They have a world of choices at their fingertips
2. They are making their decisions without the undue coercion of a corporate entity pushing its products on them.
The Internet is the perfect place to market so that your business can help them continue this fantasy.
Mobile Commerce makes Spending Easy
Studies have shown that people pay much less attention to money that they spend when it is not cash. These studies also show that people are much more likely to buy on impulse when they are on an electronic or mobile device. This means that you as a consumer must be extra cautions when making purchases via mobile payment systems. And it makes almost certain that merchants will continue to make it as easy as possible for consumers to pay for their products via electronic means such as mobile payment systems, mobile commerce apps, etc.
One such mobile commerce app,  makes a mobile smart phone into a walking credit card machine. There are already many of these devices available through reputable financial organizations. Transactions done on these applications are actually faster than other sorts of transactions when it comes to linking to your savings bank accounts, because they are completely electronic in nature.
